35 Sign-Ups and Counting…

Yes, that’s right…35 schools in developing countries have now signed up to participate in the School Enterprise Challenge. Registration will be open until June 30th so there is still plenty of time for many more to sign up. We are currently working to get our Overseas School Resource Pack in good working order, and hope to send this out to schools by the beginning of next week so that everyone can get going on designing their business plans.

That being said, we have already had one business plan submitted by Lady Hochoy School, Trinidad and Tobago so congratulations to them! They have come up with the fantastic idea of making jewellery from recycled products to sell to tourists – making them excellent candidates for our ‘Planet’ category. What’s more, they are partnered with one of our UK schools – Mapledown School. We are very excited to see how their partnership and individual enterprises develop over the course of the Challenge.

Let’s keep the registrations and business plans rolling in everyone and watch this space for more news.

About School Enterprise Challenge

The School Enterprise Challenge is a global awards programme for schools to establish innovative school-based businesses. Our easy-to-use resources help students and teachers to plan, set up and run their very own business at their school. As well as generating extra income for the school, students get to enjoy a real, hands-on entrepreneurial experience and develop essential life skills on the way. All schools (primary, secondary and vocational) from all countries are welcome to take part for FREE!
